How do I get started on HirePadi?

Sign up, then head to CV Manager and upload your CV in PDF or Word format. Set your target role, location and job type when prompted. HirePadi parses your CV in seconds and your personalised, scored job feed is ready in under two minutes.

What if my CV was parsed incorrectly?

Accepted Answer

You can edit any field directly in CV Manager — skills, experience, education, summary — after it is parsed. The more accurate your CV, the more accurate your match scores.

Can I upload more than one CV?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every plan lets you store multiple CV versions; Pro+ raises the limit to 5 active profiles. Only one CV is "active" at a time — that is the one used for matching and tailoring.

Where do the job listings come from?

Accepted Answer

HirePadi pulls jobs from Adzuna, MyJobMag, Jooble, Reed, JSearch, Remotive and Jobicy, plus LinkedIn if you use the Chrome extension. The feed refreshes automatically several times a day.

Can I use HirePadi if I am based outside Nigeria?

Yes. HirePadi pulls jobs from global sources including the UK, US, Canada and Australia, and the platform works for any job seeker — Nigerians abroad are a core part of who we built this for.

How does the match score work?

Accepted Answer

HirePadi compares your CV against each job description using AI-generated embeddings, then runs a closer AI review on your strongest matches to produce a 0–100 score with a breakdown of strengths and gaps. It is the same process whether the score comes out at 40 or 95 — we do not inflate it either way.

Is a low score a bad sign?

A low score just means the role is not a strong fit today, not that you are unqualified. We would rather tell you where the gaps are — so you can decide whether to close them or move on — than show you an inflated number and let you find out the hard way.

Why don't I see every job that gets scraped?

Jobs need to clear a minimum match score before they appear in your feed, so you are looking at roles worth your time rather than everything on the internet. The same threshold is used everywhere your feed is built, so what you see in the app matches what the digest email sends you.

Can I re-score a job after updating my CV?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Padi can re-score any job on request, and your feed re-scores automatically the next time the matching job runs after you update your active CV.

How does CV tailoring work?

Pick a job and HirePadi rewrites your CV around that specific role — reordering and reframing your real experience, never inventing anything — in under 90 seconds. You review it before it becomes part of an application.

Can HirePadi write my cover letter?

Yes, a personalised cover letter is generated for the specific job and company. Like the tailored CV, it is a draft for you to review, edit and confirm — not something that gets sent automatically.

What is interview prep, and when do I get it?

Interview prep — likely questions, company intel and how to position yourself — generates automatically the moment you (or a recruiter, on a native application) move a role to the "Interview" stage in your pipeline.

Who or what is Padi?

Padi is HirePadi's in-app chat assistant. Ask it to pull up jobs, score a specific role against your CV, update a pipeline status, or explain your CV — it can act on your account, not just answer questions. If Padi pauses during heavy use, that is a rate limit protecting the service, not a bug.

Does using Padi or generating documents cost anything?

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of CV tailors, cover letters, interview prep sheets, outreach sequences and Padi messages — see Pricing & billing below. Allowances reset every calendar month; Pro and Pro+ are unlimited.

What are the pipeline stages?

What happens when I apply natively on HirePadi?

Before you can send, you need a tailored CV for that role which you have reviewed and confirmed, plus a cover letter if the posting requires one. You are shown exactly who is receiving it — the employer, their verified status, the role, and the person who posted it — before you send.

Can I edit an application after I submit it?

Accepted Answer

No. Once submitted, the CV and cover letter you sent are frozen — no editing, no swapping documents, no re-confirming. If you want to send something different, withdraw the application and apply again where the posting still allows it.

Can I withdraw an application?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time. It moves to "Withdrawn" and stays in your history — it is never deleted — and frees you up to apply again to the same posting if you change your mind later.

What does a recruiter see about me?

By default, recruiters review your application on the evidence in it — your tailored CV and cover letter — without your name or contact details. Shortlisting is a hiring judgment and reveals nothing. Only "Reveal contact details," a separate and deliberate action, shares your identity — and it is the only thing that may tell you a recruiter is "moving forward" with your application. It is immediate, irreversible, and you are always told when it happens.

Can I message a recruiter through HirePadi?

Not yet — there is no in-product messaging channel. Once a recruiter reveals your contact details, they will reach out directly, or you can use the LinkedIn outreach message Padi can draft for you.

How does automatic pipeline tracking work?

Accepted Answer

If you connect Gmail (optional, in Settings), HirePadi reads the sender, subject line and a short snippet of messages from companies already in your pipeline — never the full email body — and classifies them (interview invite, offer, rejection, follow-up) to update your pipeline automatically.

Who sees my CV?

Your CV is used to match you to jobs and, if you apply natively, is shown to the specific recruiter you applied to (without your identity, unless you are revealed — see Applications above). It is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising.

What AI providers process my data?

Accepted Answer

Anthropic's Claude parses your CV, scores jobs, and generates documents and Padi's replies. Voyage AI turns your CV and job descriptions into embeddings for matching. Neither is used to train external AI models with your data — see our full Privacy Policy for the details on each.

How do I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

Settings → Danger Zone. It is immediate and permanent — your personal data is removed from our primary database right away, and any connected Gmail tokens are revoked at the same time. A copy may persist briefly in encrypted backups (typically no more than 30 days) before being purged.

Can I stop or start the Gmail integration whenever I want?

Yes, it is fully optional and can be connected or disconnected at any time from Settings — nothing about your account depends on it.

Who processes my payment?

Paystack. Your card and billing details are entered on their secure page — HirePadi never sees or stores your full card number, only your subscription tier, status and billing history.

What does the HirePadi Chrome extension do?

It syncs job listings you view or search on LinkedIn straight into your HirePadi pipeline, checks for new roles hourly, and flags postings that have closed. It only reads job listing details — title, company, description — never your other browsing activity.

Do I need the extension to use HirePadi?

No — it is entirely optional. HirePadi already aggregates jobs from Adzuna, Jooble, MyJobMag, Reed, JSearch, Remotive and Jobicy on its own. The extension exists to fold LinkedIn into the same feed.

I found a bug or a job that will not import. What do I do?
