Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using HirePadi ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

HirePadi is a job-search assistant that helps you track job applications, match your CV to listings, and manage your interview pipeline. Some features are powered by AI.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• You may not share your account with others.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including but not limited to scraping data, attempting to gain unauthorised access, submitting false or misleading information, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5. User-generated content

Certain features let you or other users submit content that may be shown to other users or published publicly — including recruiter and employer job postings, company profiles, applications to become a recruiter, notes, and pipeline data ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but by submitting it you grant HirePadi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute it solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service — for example, publishing an approved job listing on our public job board.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of any User Content you submit. Recruiter and employer job postings must not contain: spam or duplicate listings; false or misleading information about the employer; discriminatory hiring criteria; fraudulent or scam offers, including pay-to-apply or pyramid/MLM schemes; content that infringes a third party's rights; or content impersonating a company you are not authorised to represent.

We review job postings before they go live and may reject, remove, or unpublish any User Content — including previously approved listings — at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we believe it violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate. If you believe a posting is fraudulent, infringing, or otherwise violates these Terms, report it to hello@hirepadi.com.

6. Gmail integration

The Gmail integration is entirely optional. By connecting Gmail you grant HirePadi read-only access to detect recruiter replies. You can disconnect at any time from Settings. We will never send, delete or modify your emails.

7. AI-generated content

HirePadi uses AI to generate job match scores, email drafts, and summaries. These are provided for informational purposes only and may not be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated content before use.

8. Intellectual property

The HirePadi platform, logo, and codebase are owned by HirePadi. You retain ownership of all content you upload (CV, notes, etc.), subject to the licence you grant us over published User Content under Section 5.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold HirePadi harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) User Content you submit, including job postings; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights.

10. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. HirePadi is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including any outcomes relating to job applications.

11. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Please read this section carefully — it affects how legal disputes between you and HirePadi are resolved.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Agreement to arbitrate. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at hello@hirepadi.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute, claim, or controversy that remains unresolved after that period will be settled by binding arbitration administered under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (Nigeria), seated in Lagos, Nigeria, before a single arbitrator, rather than in court — except that either party may bring a qualifying individual claim in small claims court instead.

Class action and jury trial waiver. You and HirePadi agree that any arbitration or proceeding will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and HirePadi each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action against the other.

Exceptions. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property infringement or unauthorised access to the Service.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@hirepadi.com.

13. Changes to terms

We may update these terms at any time. The latest version is always at hirepadi.com/terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
