Hims & Hers is hiring a Principal Data Engineer to set technical direction for data across its telehealth, prescription, and wellness products, serving as the most senior individual contributor in Data Platform Engineering. The role involves defining the architecture that Software Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and Data Science depend on, and building out foundational streaming and lower-environment strategies on a stack that includes BigQuery, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, and Databricks. The ideal candidate is a senior engineer who can own cross-domain coherence and make long-lived platform decisions, with a standout responsibility being to decide whether streaming infrastructure extends beyond analytics into production and model evaluation paths.
