About this role

The Principal Mobile Engineer (POS Terminal) role at Moniepoint, based remotely in Lagos, Nigeria, involves leading the architecture and design of point-of-sale terminal software across Android Native and cross-platform stacks, along with the mobile apps used for repair scheduling and maintenance. The position suits a senior engineer who can own system-level decisions around security, scalability, and hardware and payment integration, while documenting those systems and guiding development teams. A standout requirement is familiarity with EMV standards and payment technologies, since the role carries responsibility for optimizing the security and performance of payment processing in a platform handling very large transaction volumes.
