About this role

Canonical's IoT Field Engineer in China and the wider Asia-Pacific region works remotely with customers and technology partners to select silicon and board options, build and demonstrate Ubuntu-based solutions, and advise on secure deployment for connected devices across industries such as automotive and refrigeration. The ideal candidate is a software engineer with broad Linux experience spanning firmware to GUI, comfortable acting as a trusted technical advisor who can analyse varied business and technical challenges and map them to the right solution. A standout requirement is the ability to deliver across cloud, server, desktop and IoT technologies while presenting complex systems to senior stakeholders at major companies.
