About this role

Responsibilities: • Operate Lucas Mill circular sawmills safely and efficiently. • Cut logs into timber, planks, and boards according to required measurements. • Assist with loading, positioning, and securing logs for sawing. • Measure and check timber sizes to ensure accuracy. • Carry out basic cleaning and routine maintenance of the sawmill. • Identify and report machine faults or safety issues. • Maintain a clean and organised work area. • Follow all safety procedures when operating machinery and handling timber.
