About this role

The System Architect at Oddball, a remote role supporting CMS, sets technical direction for a Medicare Part A claims processing system built on a large COBOL mainframe, governing changes to the FISS architecture and how the mainframe connects with AWS-hosted and API-based services. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with COBOL and IBM mainframe environments including CICS and VSAM, can communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, and has prior work on Medicare or Medicaid claims systems, which is a strong plus.
